Import Guide
Importing from Türkiye: the first commercial checklist
A practical sequence for Moroccan businesses preparing a first supplier conversation and import file.
Before requesting a quotation, define the product, expected quantity, delivery destination, and required compliance documents. A clear brief helps a Turkish supplier quote the right specification instead of making assumptions.
Start with five checkpoints:
1. Product specification: materials, dimensions, quality level, packaging, and acceptable alternatives.
2. Commercial volume: target quantity, expected reorder frequency, and minimum order tolerance.
3. Delivery terms: destination city in Morocco and whether you need a door-to-door or port delivery quote.
4. Documentation: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and any product-specific certificates.
5. Supplier verification: legal company identity, production capability, references, and a sample or inspection plan.
Keep the first request concise and ask the supplier to separate product price, tooling, packaging, freight, and any local charges. Final customs treatment should be confirmed with a qualified customs professional for the specific product.
